For a long time I tried to walk for a good cause it the oportunity came up to walk for St Judes children.

I try to help every chance I get and I want to teach my children about the benefit of walking for a cause and helping other in need.

The year is almost over.

I can't believe this year has gone by so fast, tomorrow it will be Halloween and before you'll know it Thanks giving will be here and x-mas and that's it.

My son Josh will turn 3 in November 02 my true miracle child, it was so difficult when I was pregnant with him my life was upside down and I truly believed he was not going to make it, boy if I was wrong. But now with my new happy life I feel so bless for having him and my daughter and to know God is helping me every step of the way.

This year I decided not to buy Halloween customs for my children, Julie my daughter doesn't seem interested in customs this year and my 3 yrs old son doesn't care LOL. So I may give out candy from my house and just enjoy the evening, I was told to light a candle and pray.

Que nos depuestra esto? Simpre es bueno donar lo poco que tenemos, el donar no significa dar lo que nos sobra, si no dar lo poco que tenemos porque lo donamos con nuestro corazones abiertos.

Took my daughter to the Doctor today.

Its good to see a good Doctor taking their time to talk to the parent and the patient. Today I took my daughter for a General check up with her new Doctor. Julie got measure, weighted and blood drawn out to check her cholesterol level since she is a little over weight.

My daughter measure 4.1 inches and weights 72lbs, the Doctor said she is a little over weight, I took a look at the Food groups to remind me which types of foods to avoid for children. Here's the link on that.

I also talk to the Doctor about behavior problem in school, my daughter is in the second grade but struggles a lot with, focusing in class, retaining information and very easily gets distracted. Her Doctor suggested I take my daughter to a Psychiatry Associates its a mental health practice. I explain to the Doctor when my daughter was young she saw her father acting violently toward me, that's one of the reasons why I moved out and got separated. The mental health center should be able to help me with any help my daughter may need.

My daughter is very smart and very gifted in my view but I want to make sure she is growing right mentally and physically.

Who do you want to be there on your Birthday Party

Like the title reads, who do you want in your Birthday Party? hmmm...some people may say, Family and close friends, but what about inviting the so called friends who are there for you because of your money, the so called friends who care about you because of your money, car, or big house to throw parties in.

I just don't understand why some people are like that, they feel the need to impress their so called friends. What about Family WHAT about the people who will be there for you in the time of need. I just don't understand, the woman who I'm talking about it my mother.

I love and respect my mother for who she is my life, my mother the woman who gave me life and supported me while I was young. My mother will turn 50 on October 19 and will celebrate it today, a huge birthday party for her. Sounds nice right...well is not. She doesn't want her grand children running around her house while her friends are there, why well..because she doesn't want her friends to see little children running around, is that simple.

She told me "Come to my birthday party but keep the kids upstairs, I don't want to see them down here for nothing while my friends are here" oh I thought to myself, they why should I come to your Birthday party at all I said, they are after all my children and YOUR GRAND CHILDREN why do I have to be here if you don't want them here.

I don't know what more important to her, impressing her friends with her wealth on her Birthday or having her Family with her. So I'm not going to be there I decided to stay with my children tonight and have fund with them. But still it hurts, she claims she is having two birthday parties one tonight and another on Saturday night with her friends. So first thought ok on Friday she will have a birthday party for her family and the one on Saturday is for her friends. Well I was wrong.

The ten commandments say to "Honer Father and Mother" which I am, I love her and respect her and want her to be happy. I will never understand my mother, but regardless how she is I'll be there for her in her time of need. For now I will just let her have fun at her Birthday Party.

Is your child in the correct booster?

I came across a great article on http://www.carseatblog.org/ The 5 step test to see if your child needs a booster. Its not about what the law says in your state about booster is about what you as a mother/parent believe what's safes way for your child to ride in the car.

My daughter is 7 yrs old and is 4.2ft and weights 75lbs, she use to ride in her Britax Regent and now she rides in her Evenflo big kid booster, here's a link to it and a pic of my daughter on the booster.

The law in Texas states if a child is less then 8yrs old or less then 4.9ft tall then the child needs to be a booster, besides its what's safe for your child.
